The role of the administrator in a financial services firm is a fundamentally key one; it drives the quality and efficiency of the paraplanning function, as well as the experience the client receives and requires a broad range of knowledge and outstanding attention to detail. We think financial administrators are often the unsung heroes in advice firms, so we’re here to help grow and develop a whole army of them.

This course is designed to take someone with little or no financial services experience to a well-experienced administrator, with an RQF level 3 qualification via the CII. In addition to the actual qualification (detailed further in the Qualification tab), the course will deliver wider knowledge and practical training in the administrator role, including:

  • Introduction to financial services and soft skills needed.
  • Data gathering and plan analysis.
  • Use of back-office and other financial technology.
  • Platform efficiency, including processing cases and placing fund trades.
  • New business processing.
  • Case management and efficiency.
  • Compliance and regulation.

For those already working in financial services, we will tailor training to match the systems and software used by your existing company wherever possible.

OPTIONAL BOLT-ON : Defined Benefits Module.
Some firms will also work with defined benefit schemes, and these have an additional level of complexity and knowledge that is required to work with them in a financial services environment.

Therefore, there is an option for an additional training day, where you will learn all about defined benefit schemes, the features of them, how to gather data on them and structure this in a meaningful way for the paraplanner or adviser to undertake the relevant analysis on them.

CII Award in Financial Administration.

This will include R01 Financial services, regulation & ethics and in addition to FA2 Pensions administration.

The course will be delivered over 9 months (10 months if the bolt-on module is selected) and the structure includes:

  • 2-day face to face exam training session for R01.
  • 2-day face to face exam training session for FA2.
  • 4 face to face practical training sessions (additional face to face session if you select the Defined Benefits Module).
  • Virtual study club to support exam preparation.
  • Additional study support, including practice questions, audio downloads and visual guides to support your self-study.

Standard course fee – £1,570 (inc all relevant VAT).

Bolt-on: Defined Benefits Module – £495 (inc relevant VAT)

 

We do offer a payment plan for those wishing to pay monthly. Costs are £175 (across 9 months) for the standard course, or £207 (across 10 months) for those wishing to bolt-on the Defined Benefits Module.
