Within this module you will discover how to build a robust Training & Competency (T&C) scheme across a financial planning firm, and understand how these impact on individual advisers and how to manage their ongoing T&C. We will also delve into recruitment needs and explore what it means to not only attain, but also maintain competence.

This course consists of three modules:

  • Why firms need a scheme that supports their employees and reflects their business model.
  • What to consider when recruiting for a financial planning firm.
  • How certified staff need to attain/maintain competence and regulatory requirements such as Fitness and Propriety (Fit and Proper) & Disciplinary proceedings.

At the end of this module, you will be able to:
